The resort reopened on December 22, 2005 after Hurricane Katrina and after being completely renovated with a fresh, modern look. The casino includes over 1900 slots and 60 tables games, plus a poker room. The hotel has more than 1000 newly renovated rooms. The IP is on Bayview Ave on the banks of the Back Bay of Biloxi.
I-110 runs right past the casino with a convenient exit just two blocks away.
The neighborhood is a mix of business and residential, and Boomtown Casino is within walking distance.
The IP consists of three main areas: a) the 32-floor hotel tower, b) the center building which houses three floors
of non-stop gaming as well as the hotel lobby, restaurants, shops, and spa, and c) the 12 story parking garage with rooftop swimming pool.
IP's 32-story hotel tower is one of the tallest buildings in Mississippi.
There are over 1000 rooms, including some jacuzzi and luxury suites.
All of the rooms were renovated in 2005 / 2006, and the resort has been awarded the 4-Diamond rating by AAA.
Our room on the 19th floor faced northwest with a sweeping
view of the Back Bay of Biloxi and the coastal communities, as well as the hotel front entrance and parking garage.
Ask for a room pointing to the south for a dazzling view of the Gulf Coast and Casino Row, or to the
east if you want to look down on Boomtown Casino, which is four blocks away.
The room measured in at approximately 350 square feet, and was bright and cheery with the late afternoon sun.
It was modern, as well as very clean and perfectly comfortable. Rooms are equipped with a coffee maker,
iron and board, cable television, internet, safe, and a blow dryer.
The casino covers 70,000 square feet. The sprawling main floor
includes table games, slot machines, and the players club booth. Bars with video poker and televisions are
along the perimeter. The second floor houses more slots.
IP Rewards - IP has an outstanding player's club, with numerous point-earning and spending
specials every month. The sign up booth is located in the hotel lobby.
Table Games - there are about 60 tables including Blackjack, Roulette,
Craps, Midi Baccarat, Pai Gow, 3-Card Poker, Let It Ride, and others.
Slots & Video Poker: IP has over 1,900 slots and video poker games.
The machine inventory includes most of the latest video slots as well as popular reel spinners. Denominations range
from 1 cent to $100.
Poker Room - 14 tables in a non-smoking environment. Tournaments are held daily.
Carnaval de Brazil Brazilian barbeque (churrasco) with tableside carving in a unique environment.
The menu also includes a salad bar, traditional soups, plus South American wines and tropical
cocktails. You can dine a la carte or all you can eat.
Back Bay Buffet features seven action stations with international and regional cuisine (Southern, Italian, Asian, Mexican,
Carved meats, Salad, Bakery and Desserts).
Highlights Sports Lounge 65 plasma HD screens. The menu includes burgers, salads, and various
entrees.
High Tide Cafe Casual with an extensive menu (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night).
32 Steak & Seafood Fine dining with nightly
live entertainment on the 32nd floor. The focus is on fresh seafood, prime USDA steaks, and the tremendous wine selection. Open for dinner only.
Quench Poolside drinks and dining including sandwiches and salads.
tien is described as an Asian fusion dining experience. The restaurant serves a variety of Asian cuisines
including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese, with many items cooked tableside. Enjoy Shabu-Shabu,
Korean barbeque, teppanyaki, dim sum, as well as a noodle and sushi bar.
Infusion Coffee Bar Located in the lobby. Serves drinks, pastries and sandwiches. Open 24-hr.
Headliners - IP keeps a very active and diverse calendar of entertainment. It is one of the top venues in the area.
Musical acts, sporting events, and other shows are held in Studio A and Studio B.
Lounges: Chill Ultralounge and thirty-two. Live music often.
Video Arcade - the arcade, which features video games, pinball, and other amusements, is located on the second floor.
Swimming Pool - the seasonal outdoor pool is located on the 12th floor of the parking garage and
features a deck with private cabanas, frequent live entertainment, and Quench Bar & Restaurant.
Senses Spa & Salon, salon and a spa area with saunas, steam rooms, and
whirlpool baths.
Fitness Center - a nice room with a view of the Back Bay as you work out on modern weight and cardio equipment.
Parking - Ample valet and self parking is available in the twelve story garage.
